WE MAKE VIDEO GAMES

Hello everyone,

Hope you're staying safe and adjusting to the "new normal".

I'd like to start by summing up the week with this one meme:

You don't need to call me to chat about the contents of your Amazon order dad, a text would have been sufficient.

Anyway, so back to video games!

UK Games Fund News

We're happy to announce that we have been accepted as one of the companies who have been selected for funding for Round 6 of the UK Games Fund.

The UK Games Fund will provide funding for our development of UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel.

Applying for funding was something we never thought about doing with Nippon Marathon, heck, we didn't even realise that funding was an option. It would definitely have taken some of the pressure off us. Take that as a lesson from us, take all possible funding opportunities, however big or small.

We're really excited to be a part of the UK Games Community and are very appreciative of the lifeline we've been given, especially with business being impacted by the Coronavirus. Along with 37 other companies, the UK Games fund will provide a funding for their current video games, as well as providing learning materials and hosting networking events.

We cannot wait to share with them, and you our progress with UEDI:SoTC

UEDI Update

As you can see from the screenshot, we have been busy!

We currently have members of our Discord community testing a beta demo, and the reception has been great. It's always nerve-racking sharing a new game with people; we've been working on it for so long, there's always that moment of panic where you feel that everyone will hate it. Thankfully that wasn't the case. We received both good and constructive feedback, and we're currently implementing changes from that feedback that we think you'll love.

We cannot wait to share the results with you soon! Make sure to check back soon for a special blog post all about our beta testing and how to manage your own.

That's all for now,

Amy & Andy

Hey everyone,

So hands up, who has been invited to a Zoom quiz?

Whether it's with family or friends, it's hard to avoid being invited for a Zoom quiz.

Sounds fun right? Spending time with people you love whilst being in the comfort of your own home, they don't need to know that you're just in your pants do they?

Whether you're excited or reluctantly agreeing to participate, all is well until that dreaded whatsapp message pops into the group chat; "you need to host one of the rounds".

Host a round? But, I have no general knowledge... I don't know what the tallest building in Croatia is (it's the chimney of the Plomin Power Station in Istria, in case you were wondering).

Can I just have a round of video game related questions instead? Yes, yes you can.
